Ern Marden – FTConnect Manager
Under Ern’s management, FTConnect has been developed for the learning-disabled community with accessibility, independent use, and entertainment at the forefront.
Dom Wood
Previously, Dom utilised his BA (Hons) in Creative Music Tech as The Fifth Trust’s music instructor from 2016, introducing our students to the art of music creation and recording.
Since joining the FTConnect team, Dom’s experience has provided us with the ability to create original music and sound effects for our projects, including our theme tune, which he created using the sounds and voices from The Fifth Trust students.
Dom has also collaborated with The Fifth Trust students to produce podcasts, something he would like to expand in the future. His coding skills have also enabled us to bring fun, original and appropriate web-based arcade games to FTConnect. Designed with accessibility at the forefront, these games prioritise ease of play and minimise visual and audio overstimulation, ensuring inclusivity for our users.
Tom German – Education Lead
Tom develops FTConnect’s online courses in a way that neurodiverse people can access and succeed in, and ensures they are at the correct level on the National Qualifications Framework.
